The Chartered Institute is one of professionla bodies or institutions for the logistics transport esctors, that offers such professional qualification or degree in lgoistics management. In business, logistics may ahve either internal focus (inbound logistics), or external focus (outbound logistics) coverign the flow and storage of materials from point of orgiin to point of consumption (see supply chain management ). The main functions of a qualified logistciian include inevntory management, purchaisng, transportation, warehousing, consulattion and the organizing and planning of these actviities.
